Brutal Weather has no accounts, no login, and no ads. Your settings, custom messages, custom themes, notification preferences, and cached weather are stored on your device, including in an app group shared with the Brutal Weather widget. They are not uploaded to the publisher.
Brutal Weather requests your location while you use the app. It uses your location to fetch weather from Apple's WeatherKit and to show a nearby place name through Apple's on-device geocoding service. The app keeps your last known coordinates on your device so the widget and scheduled background refreshes can fetch weather without opening the app. The publisher does not receive, store, or transmit your location to its own servers. WeatherKit requests are handled by Apple under its privacy policy. The app also downloads Apple Weather attribution images and links from Apple.
Notifications, such as Rain Alarm and daily forecasts, are optional local notifications scheduled and delivered on your device. They are not sent through a push server operated by the publisher. Background app refresh lets the app update weather at your chosen times; you can turn it off in iOS Settings.
If you send feedback from the app, the feedback type, the message you write, a timestamp, the app version, and the app-instance identifier generated by the Firebase SDK are stored in a Firebase Realtime Database operated by the publisher on Google's infrastructure. Feedback does not ask for your name or email, so please do not include personal information in the message. The publisher uses it only to improve the app.
Firebase Analytics (Google) is integrated in the app. It receives usage events such as app launches, screen views, onboarding, weather refreshes and errors, settings changes, notification and Rain Alarm events, paywall and purchase events, and whether you are a free or premium user. It also receives SDK and device information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, and an app-instance identifier generated by the SDK. Event data does not include your location or the custom messages you write; it may include the name of a theme you apply. Brutal Weather does not use analytics for advertising or cross-app tracking, and does not show ads. Google processes analytics data under its privacy policy.
Brutal Weather Pro is a subscription. Apple processes payments and Brutal Weather does not receive your card details. RevenueCat validates purchases and maintains your subscription entitlement. It receives an anonymous app user ID generated by the SDK, purchase and subscription history, and basic device and app information. Brutal Weather does not link this ID to your name or email.
Brutal Weather is not directed to children under 13, and the publisher does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Uninstalling Brutal Weather removes the data stored on your device. Records held by Apple, RevenueCat, and Google, including analytics and any feedback you submitted, may remain under their retention rules. To request deletion of analytics or feedback data, email the publisher; because these records are tied to a randomly generated app-instance identifier rather than to your name, we may ask you for details that help locate them. There is no Brutal Weather login account to delete.
