Caller (“the app”) is a darts scorekeeper made by Orkhan Alizada. This policy explains what data the app uses and why.

Short version

Data stored on your device

Matches, player names, presets, stats, practice results and settings are saved only on your device. We cannot see them. They are deleted when you delete the app.

Microphone and speech recognition

When you hold the mic button or turn on hands-free mode, Caller uses the microphone and Apple’s on-device speech recognition to turn your spoken score into numbers. Audio is processed on your device in every supported input language. It is not stored, and it is not sent to us or to anyone else. You can turn off microphone and speech access at any time in iOS Settings.

Purchases

Apple processes all payments. We never see your payment details.

The app uses RevenueCat to check whether you have Caller Pro and to restore purchases. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, your purchase and subscription history, and basic device and app information such as the app version and the iOS version. This data is not linked to your name or email, and it is not used for advertising or tracking. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

Analytics

The app uses Firebase Analytics (from Google) to count anonymous usage events, such as starting a match, opening the paywall or using voice scoring. It also receives basic device and app information: app version, iOS version, device model and your approximate country (worked out from your IP address). Firebase assigns a random ID to each app install to count users.

This data is not linked to your name, email or any account. It is not used for advertising or tracking. The app does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), does not ask for tracking permission and turns off Google’s ad personalization features. Player names, match scores and anything you type, and your voice, are never sent. See Google’s privacy policy and Firebase privacy and security.

How long data is kept

Analytics event data is kept by Google for 2 months (the Google Analytics data retention setting) and then deleted. Aggregated reports that contain no individual events may be kept longer. RevenueCat keeps purchase records for as long as needed to provide and restore your purchases.

Your choices

You can turn off “Share anonymous usage data” in Settings at any time. Collection stops immediately. Deleting the app removes the data stored on your device and resets the analytics ID.

Because analytics and purchase data are not linked to your name or email, we cannot look them up by identity. For any other privacy or deletion question, email the contact address below.

Third parties

RevenueCat and Google (Firebase) process this data only to provide their services to the app. They are required to protect it at least as well as this policy describes.

Sharing

If you share a match result, the app creates an image and opens the iOS share sheet. You choose where it goes. The app does not send it anywhere by itself.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell data, show ads, use the advertising identifier or track you across apps and websites.

Children

Caller is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
