Clack Privacy Policy
Effective October 2, 2026
Clack (Chess Clock & Timer) is made by Orkhan Alizada ("I", "me"). This policy explains what data the app handles and why. In short: your games stay on your device. The free version shows ads from Google, which collects some data to serve them.
Data that stays on your device
Player names, games, rivalries, time controls, skins and settings are stored only on your iPhone or iPad. I don't receive them. Deleting the app deletes this data. Share images you create are made on your device and go only where you choose to send them.
Ads (Google AdMob)
The free version shows ads through Google AdMob. Ads start only after your second finished game. To show and measure ads, Google may collect:
- device identifiers: the advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking, and the identifier for vendors (IDFV)
- your IP address, which gives an approximate location
- ad views, taps and basic diagnostics
Personalized ads are shown only if you allow tracking in Apple's prompt and, in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, give consent in Google's consent form. You can change your tracking choice in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and your consent in Clack → Settings → Privacy choices. See how Google uses data from apps that use its services.
With Clack Pro, no ads are shown and the ad SDK isn't started.
Purchases (Apple and RevenueCat)
Apple processes all payments; I never see your payment details. I use RevenueCat to confirm which purchases you own. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase history. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
Analytics (TelemetryDeck)
I use TelemetryDeck to count anonymous app events, such as a game started or a paywall shown. It doesn't collect names, contacts or advertising identifiers, and its user identifiers are hashed. See TelemetryDeck's privacy policy.
Selling and sharing
I don't sell your personal information. Personalized advertising may count as "sharing" under some US state laws. You can opt out by not allowing tracking or by changing your choice in Privacy choices.
Children
Clack isn't directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their personal information. Sensitive ad categories such as gambling, dating and alcohol are blocked.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, or to object to its use. I don't store your personal data myself. For ad data, use the choices above or contact Google. For purchase records, email me and I'll ask RevenueCat to delete them.
Changes
If this policy changes, I'll update this page and its effective date.
